We specialise in the supply of authentic loco crew overalls and offer the best available. Renowned for hard wear, our clothing is worn throughout preservation and used by mainline steam crews. BRITISH MADE from a superior 100% cotton drill, these bib & brace feature correct double lock stitching, and have 31" inside leg in regular sizes. 1950's British Railways pattern, copied from a set that belonged to the legendary Kings Cross based driver, Bill Hoole. The Bib & Brace has the correct back yoke detail that the brace straps are joined to. Braces are button fastening, so that unlike metal clip fasteners, they don't come undone or cut into the braces. Fitted with two patch type front pockets. Equally suitable for Firemen as the combination of separate jacket with a bib & brace provides the best possible air circulation for serious work. These overalls are the best value available – We regularly receive reports of their longevity! Available in just about any size from stock, supplied in 2" steps to give the best possible fit. For longer legs please see the extra long, X-Long, unhemmed, Bib & Brace on the drop down size selector. X-Long can be self hemmed in any length up to 35" inside leg.
Measure your waist/tummy over the trousers you will wear underneath, and allow a bit of slack, for leaning over, coupling on, and other button popping activities. A useful guide is to measure over your waist plus wrist, whilst you have your hand in your back pocket, simulating getting your wallet out by reaching through the Bib & Brace waistband. For taller customers, Bib & Brace can be supplied with un-hemmed longer legs, for self finishing.
