28 Day Return Period

It is easy to be wise after the event and for this reason Footplate Equipment Ltd are happy to help through our 28 day return policy.

If within 28 days of purchase, for any reason you find that your recent purchase is not quite what you wanted, then Footplate Equipment Ltd will replace it, or offer a credit note, or refund your unsuitable purchase to equal value. This is provided the goods remain in their original condition, unused and are returned to us accompanied by all packaging and accessories they came with.  If clothing is returned with evidence of pet hairs or smoking residues it will not be accepted.  Hats to be accepted for return must only have been tried for size, and be unmarked.

We do ask that you telephone us first, so that we can agree to return and discuss a course of action.  You will need to provide us with your proof of purchase, ideally by reference to the original order. Please refer to our current conditions of sale.

The customer must bear all the costs of returning any unwanted goods to Footplate Equipment Ltd and provide proof of delivery.  We reserve the right not to accept the return of unwanted, non-defective goods after the 28 day period.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Unwanted Goods and Distance Selling Regulations

The Distance Selling Regulations give customers the right to change their mind and to cancel an order within seven working days. Reasonable care must be taken whilst the goods remain in your possession and goods must be adequately packaged when being returned back to Footplate Equipment Ltd.  For customers whose transactions are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations, the seven day cooling off period is inclusive within our 28 day returns policy.

Faulty or Defective Goods

If you experience any defect in your goods under normal use within a reasonable period of time after delivery and which are due to faulty materials, workmanship or design, this will be made good by Footplate Equipment Ltd either by repair, or replacement, or by refund.

The defective goods should be returned together with a valid proof of purchase and wherever possible the original packaging.  Footplate Equipment Ltd reserve the right to inspect any goods returned prior to making good.

When returning goods, please take all reasonable care to ensure that all items are suitably packaged and the goods are protected when being returned.

Conditions of Sale

The price charged for goods will be the catalogue price at the time of payment (which may differ from the price at the time the product was added to your basket).

Card payment will be taken from the customer’s card at the time the details are entered into the website.  For other payments methods we may wait until the goods are ready to be despatched before processing payment.

Goods will not be dispatched until full payment is received.

If an item is out of stock we may choose to send your order in more than one consignment, unless the required products will be in stock soon, in which case we may hold your order and dispatch all the items together.  We will contact you to advise you if this is the case.  This will not affect the price you pay.  If we are uncertain when an out of stock item will next be available, we will refund you the value of that item, and the relevant proportion of the P&P.

Footplate Equipment is responsible for the website transaction. Credit Card details are entered on a secured page and sent via SSL technology to Stripe who process the payment. Payment must be made in GB Pounds Sterling, made by one of the following methods:-  Credit/Debit Card via the website, or direct bank transfer, or by cheque through the post.  Cash payment will be accepted for face to face purchases from our mobile sales stand.

In the case of any suspected fraudulent activity, the relevant authorities will be informed.

Delivery

Goods are despatched using Royal Mail and carrier services.

Footplate Equipment Ltd cannot accept liability for delivery delays caused by the postal or carrier services.

If an item is damaged in the post, then the customer must inform Footplate Equipment Ltd as soon as possible, so that we can arrange return of the damaged item, and replacement.

Please note that Footplate Equipment Ltd is operated in our spare time.We try to dispatch all orders as soon as possible after receipt, and we endeavour to get to the Post Office about three times per week.Please do not expect next day delivery.We are not a big mail order company employing large numbers of staff, nor do we have a fully mechanised warehouse and packing system.

Payments

Card payment will be made by the customer at the time they enter their card details into the payment gateway.  For these transactions we do not retain card details, and we cannot take a payment of our own volition.

Cheques will only be accepted by prior agreement, and will be subject to an additional £2.00 to cover the bank charges.
 
Please note that in accordance with HMRC guidelines pertaining to our business, we are not VAT registered.
